The Canton of Elvegast is partnering with another non-profit organization, The Scrap Paper Shakespeare Company to create this special production of Taming of the Shrew. We are all working to make this production authentic to period practices as much as we can. This endeavor incurs costs for things like costumes, props, and other production requirements. To that end, we are trying a new method of fundraising via an online auction and donation site called Givebutter.com.
This fundraiser is managed by Sophia the Orange / Lara Coutinho-Dean as a private citizen supporting the Canton of Elvegast/Scrap Paper Shakespeare partnership. All funds will be collected by Sophia and donated to Scrap Paper Shakespeare for supporting the production of Taming of the Shrew. Donors will not be able to account for their donation as a donation to a non-profit group and therefore included in next year’s taxes evaluations.
